HCC appoints Amit Uplenchwar as CEO Engineering & Construction

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) today said Amit Uplenchwar has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company's engineering and construction business with immediate effect.
In a statement, the company said it has "appointed Amit Uplenchwar as the Chief Executive Officer of its Engineering and Construction (E&C) business effective today, pursuant to Arun Karambelkar retiring from the company on completion of his tenure".
Commenting on the appointment, Arjun Dhawan, HCC's Director and Group CEO, said, "We are delighted to have Amit at the helm of our flagship E and C business. HCC will be well served by his leadership experience, especially in business operations. We are deeply grateful to Arun Karambelkar for his 26 years of service to the company."
Uplenchwar has deep experience in the infrastructure and energy sector, having handled areas of operations, revenue, profitability and growth, business development and project management, the company said.
He has joined HCC from Adani Ports and SEZ Group where, as a President, he was heading Business Development of all 10 Ports of Adani Group. Additionally, he was also responsible for strategy and was part of the team deciding on investments in new businesses. Uplenchwar was also heading mergers and acquisitions for Adani Ports and SEZ, HCC said.
