"HCCI is one of the main pillars of our R&D. The decision was rightly taken in making long-term investment in the future. Hyderabad is an integral part of Hexagon AB's global R&D and delivery network. This new and larger facility is further proof of Hexagon AB's commitment to India," said Steven Cost, President, Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure.
The new facility of HCCI houses Hexagon's product R&D and services teams that work on an umbrella of integrated technologies in the areas of aerospace, agriculture, automotive infrastructure, construction, mining, power, safety, surveying, security and governments, said a statement from the company.
The Hyderabad center came into Hexagon AB's fold as part of its acquisition of engineering and software company Intergraph Corporation for USD 2.13 billion in July 2010, the statement added.
