HDFC Life ties up with Indiabulls Housing Fin for distribution

HDFC Life has signed a corporate agency agreement with Indiabulls Housing Finance, leading private housing finance company, to distribute individual insurance products.
Under this new tie up, Indiabulls Housing will distribute HDFC Life's individual life, health and pension products to its customers across India, the private insurer said today in a release issued here.

Shriram Life clocks Rs 1,020 crore gross premium * Shriram Life Insurance has clocked 1,000 crore of total premium for the 2015-16.
Of the Rs 1,020 crore, new business premium accounts for Rs 706 crore and remaining Rs 314 crore is renewals, the private insurer said today in a release issued here.
"We sold close to 2.67 lakh retail policies, which ranks us among top 7 private life insurers in the country. I am proud that Shriram Life is now a Pan India company," Shriram Life Managing Director Manoj Kumar Jain said.

For the current financial year 2016-17, Jain said the company will achieve growth of 25-30 per cent on all business parameters.

AT&T, Otis partner on Internet of Things services * AT&T has tied up with Otis Elevator Company to enhance connectivity through the use of Internet of Things (IoT) products - services and technologies that employ digital technologies to better connect with customers and with elevator, escalator and moving walkway equipment.

Trade Smart Online launches 'Margin Against Shares' service * Discount broking firm Trade Smart Online today announced the launch of 'Margin Against Shares' which will allow investors to pledge their shares and avail additional limit for trading against these pledged securities.
The service enables a client with shares in his demat account, which he does not wish to sell, get margin against these shares by keeping them as collateral.

Alstom T&D India appoints Gaurav Manoher Negi as CFO * Alstom T&D India today said it has appointed Gaurav Manoher Negi as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with effect from June 1.
Negi will replace S M Momaya, who will superannuate on May 31, 2016.
"... Upon superannuation from services of the company, S M Momaya shall cease to be a Whole-time Director & Chief Financial Officer of the company with effect from close of business hours on May 31, 2016," Alstom T&D India said in a BSE filing.

Godrej Consumer starts malaria prevention projs in MP * FMCG firm Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) in collaboration with Family Health India has initiated a vector-borne disease prevention and control project in Madhya Pradesh, the local affiliate office of the international NGO, FHI 360.
The three-year project will be piloted in high malaria districts of Mandla and Dindori, home to large tribal populations living in hilly areas.

GVK Power hands over 217 MW power plant to Andhra discom * GVK Power and Infrastructure today said its arm GVK Industries Limited (GVKIL) has handed over 217 MW Phase-I power plant located in East Godavarj District of Andhra Pradesh for Rs 261.27 crore to AP discom.
"Yesterday, GVKIL had handed over its phase-I power plant to AP discoms for a final terminal value of Rs 261.27 crore," GVK Power and Infrastructure said in a BSE filing.
