HDIL launches 'Budget Homes' brand

Realty player Housing Development Infrastructure (HDIL) is planning to launch 'Budget Homes' brand under which it will develop affordable housing projects in the megapolis.
Under this brand, HDIL will provide affordable homes within Rs 50 lakh inclusive of stamp duty and registration in Mumbai suburbs and within Rs 20 lakh, including stamp duty and registration charges, in Vasai-Virar region in the city's outskirts.
"This brand is in continuation with our mission to provide affordable houses with the state-of-the-art amenities and comfort to our buyers. The infrastructure status to affordable housing segment would ensure easy access to institutional credit and help in reducing developers' cost of borrowing," HDIL Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Sarang Wadhawan said in a statement here.

Manipal Univ inks MoU with Boston Univ for dental education
Manipal University today said it has signed an agreement with Boston University for academic collaboration to promote advancement of dental education.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Manipal University, through the Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS) and Henry M Goldman Schools of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM), will establish an exchange programme during the 2017-2020 academic years, a release said here.
The MoU seeks to promote mutual understanding and contribute to the advancement and progress of dental education and science through educational and academic collaboration, and exchanges of mutual interest and benefit, it added.

The universities will send four students and a faculty member for two-week rotations.

HDFC ERGO launches app on iWatch
Private sector non-life insurer, HDFC ERGO General Insurance today said it has launched its Mobile Insurance Portfolio Organiser (IPO) App for their policyholders on iWatch.
This app makes it easy for HDFC ERGO customers to access details and other information related to their policies at a tap on iWatch.
"We have developed the Insurance Portfolio Organiser app for the iWatch. With this our aim is to provide one more avenue to the technology savvy customer to have important information about their policies at their finger tip," HDFC ERGO GI member of executive management and group head- operations IT online business and marketing, Mehmood Mansoori, said in a statement.
