The Chinese government has always been opposed to visit of Tibetan leaders to Arunachal Pradesh and other eastern states but the government of India has not restrained any Tibetan leader from visiting Arunachal.
He will visit the North-Eastern states from January 26 to February 6 as part of his efforts to meet Tibetans living in the settlements across the country.
Sangay will meet Tibetans living in settlements and clustered communities in Tawang, Dirang, Bomdila, Tenzingang, Tuting, Tezu and Miao in Arunachal Pradesh and Shillong in Meghalaya and receive Tibetan Spiritual head the Dalai Lama on February 1.
Sangay will deliver lectures at Martin Luther Christian University in Shillong and National Law University and Academy in Guwahati.
