Health Minister A K Walia also said that land has been acquired for another six Health Centres, while the city government has approached the Delhi Development Authority seeking land for constructing another 24 centres.
Laying foundation stone for a Health Centre in Pandav Nagar in East Delhi, he said the centre will be constructed in a record five months and will be buit at a cost of Rs 54 lakh.
The centres will provide OPD consultation, free medicines, basic investigations on reproductive child health, immunization programme and referral services to the Govt. And 42 major private hospitals providing free treatment to poor patients.
He said such centres would also be opened in Shakurpur School Block, Molar Band (Gautam Puri), Madan Pur Khadar, Phase-1 and Phase-2, Rohini Sec-4 and Sec-21, Gandhi Vihar, Bindapur and Buland Masjid (Shastri Park).
