A local court today adjourned to November 12 hearing in the Sankararaman murder case in which Kanchi Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi and his junior Vijayendra are the prime accused.
Of the 23 accused, 15, including the two seers, were present during the hearing in the court today.
When the hearing resumed, Principal District and Sessions Judge C.S.Murugan adjourned further proceedings to Tuesday next and directed that all accused be present without fail.
Sankararaman, Manager in the Varadarajaperumal temple at Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu, was allegedly murdered on September 3, 2004, in the temple premises.
When the case came up, Anand Sharma, the son of Sankararaman, submitted a plea stating that he had 'no objection' to the court delivering the judgment in the case.
The court had sought the clarification from Anand Sharma following stay by Madras High court in a plea filed before it by accused Kadiravan who had opposed to making available copies of audio and video documents containing details of investigation in the case.
