Heat remains within bearable limits in Bengal

Heat remained within bearable level in Gangetic West Bengal today with Asansol town being the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 38.6 degree Celsius.
Asansol was followed by Bankura town which recorded a maximum temperature of 38.5 degree Celsius, IMD sources here said.
Kolkata city registered maximum temperature of 35.1 degree Celsius and minimum of 32.4 degrees.
IMD in its prediction said thundershower accompanied with squall with maximum wind speed reaching between 50 and 60 km per hour is likely to affect some parts of Purulia, Bankura, Burdwan, Birbhum, Murshidabad and Nadia districts this evening.
