The temperature substantially fell in Bhubaneswar to 37 degree Celsius but the relative humidity continued to remain high at 87 per cent.
The IMD has predicted rain and thundershowers at many places over south Odisha and few places in the northern districts. It also predicted rainfall in coastal districts.
The state Special Relief Commissioner's (SRC) office confirmed the death of 35 people due to sunstroke across Odisha.
The revenue department received reports of 150 deaths, of which 52 cases were found to be due to some other reasons and 63 other cases were under investigation by the District Collectors.
Apart from this, one sunstroke death each was confirmed by the collectors of Angul, Balasore, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur and Nuapada districts, the SRC officials said.
