Heat wave in south UP; rains in east

Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in south Uttar Pradesh while moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers occurred at isolated places in eastern parts of the state in the last 24 hours.
According to the Met department, Nighasan received 6 cms of rainfall, Mohamdi 3 cms, Bansgaon 2 cms, Shardanagar, Moradabad and Mushafirkhana 1 cm each.
The weatherman said rain or thundershowers would occur at isolated places in the state.
