The capital Delhi, got another day devoid of summer harshness with mercury remaining below normal level.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 39.3 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal and up from yesterday's 38.2 degrees. The minimum was at 27 degree Celsius, one degree below normal and up from 26.9 degrees.
The city has been experiencing pleasant weather since Tuesday after rains lashed the city, which had been reeling under heat wave conditions, bringing down the temperatures.
In Andhra Pradesh, the MeT office said the hot spell would continue in the state for another 24 hours.
Reports said that over 200 persons died to due to severe heat this summer, but no cumulative figures were available with the officials.

Revenue officials in Visakhapatnam said about 40 persons succumbed to the heat wave this summer in the district, while a report from Medak said two persons died in the district in May.
The monsoon, which has already hit Kerala, is expected to arrive in Andhra Pradesh in the next one week.
With the four more deaths reported yesterday, the cumulative toll in West Bengal due to the heat rose to 52.
Seven people had died of a sunstroke in Purulia district in the past seven days, officials said. However, unofficial accounts put the figure at 17.
