While a drizzle in Ranchi brought down temperature to 39 degrees Celsius from yesterday's 40.2 degrees Celsius, a downpour at Dhanbad reduced the temperature to 40 degrees Celsius from previous day's scorching 45.5 degrees Celsius, the MeT office said.
Bokaro (42 deg C) and West Singhbhum (42 deg C) also experienced slight rains during the day, they said.
Heat wave, however, conditions prevailed in Palamau (44.4 deg C), Latehar (43 deg C), Lohardaga (42.3 deg C) and Jamshedpur (42.6 deg C).
