Heatwave condition intensifies in Bihar

Heatwave conditions intensified in Bihar today spreading to the eastern region, the MeT department here said.
Bihar is in the grip of intense heatwave condition with the eastern region too coming under scorching weather since yesterday, Patna MeT Director A K Sen said.
The maximum temperatures in all major towns including Patna, Bhagalpur, Gaya and Purnea stood above 40 degrees Celsius, he said.
There would be no respite from heatwave condition over the next three days even though the maximum temperature may come down by a few notches, Sen said.
