Heatwave conditions prevailed in most parts of Rajasthan with Churu recording a maximum temperature of 43.7 degrees Celsius, a MeT department official said today.
Churu was followed by 43.6 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer, 43.5 degrees Celsius in Barmer, 43.2 degrees Celsius in Bikaner, 43 degrees Celsius in Kota, 42.2 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur, 42 degrees Celsius in Ajmer, 41.4 degrees Celsius in Jaipur, 40.3 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar, 39.5 degrees Celsius in Pilani and 37.5 degrees Celsius in Dabok.
The minimum temperatures at most places were recorded between 24 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius. The MeT department has warned of dust storm/thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds at isolated places in the state.
It has predicted thunderstorm accompanied with light rains at isolated places in the state in the next 24 hours.
