IMD in its bulletin said the weather has been dry over Odisha. "The maximum temperatures appreciably rose over north interior Odisha and no large change over rest of the state was observed," the bulletin said.
There was no rainfall in the state during the last 24 hours, the IMD said and predicted rain and thundershowers tomorrow.
Hirakud was the hottest place in the state at 43.3 degrees Celsius, followed by Sambalpur at 42.5 degrees, Jharsuguda at 42.4, Bhawanipatna and Bolangir at 42.2 degree Celsius each, Titlagarh at 41.5, Baripada, Talcher and Dhenkanal at 40.4 degrees Celsius each.
