Roads wore deserted look in most parts of the state and people preferred to stay indoors in Churu and Jaipur which recorded 45.7 and 44.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
Sizzling heat also prevailed in Pilani which recorded a maximum of 44. 3 degrees Celsius, while identical temperatures were recorded in Chittorgarh and Barmer at 44.2 degrees Celsius, according to MeT department.
Most other places also recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.
The heatwave conditions would continue to prevail in most parts of the state during the next 24 hours, the MeT forecast said.
