Heavy rain, thundershower likely in Odisha

Odisha is likely to receive heavy rain and thundershower in the next 24 hours due to the low pressure over West Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of South Odisha & North coastal Andhra Pradesh, an IMD bulletin said.
It said that heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over North Odisha during the period.
The system lies over West Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Coastal Andhra Pradesh at 0830 hours IST today. The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends upto 5.8 km above mean sea level with tilting southwards with height, it said.

Meanwhile, IMD sources said rainfall has occurred at many places over North Odisha and at a few places over South Odisha with heavy rainfall at one or two places over North Coastal Odisha.
