Jogindernagar and Palampur in Kangra district recorded 12 mm and 11 mm rains, followed by Sarahan 7 mm, Shimla and Rajgarh 6 mm, Kotkhai, Jubbal and Sundernagar 5 mm.
However, the maximum temperatures rose marginally and Una in Shivalik foothills was hottest witha high of 36.6 degrees Celsius while Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded maximum temperatures at 34 and 33.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Solan 28.5 degrees Celsius, Dharamshala 28.4 degrees Celsius, Nahan 27.2 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 24.9 degrees Celsius and Shimla 24.8 degrees Celsius.
The local MeT office predicted rains and thundershowers at many places in lower, mid and higher hills during next six days from tomorrow onwards.
