The sky remained heavily overcast and thick fog engulfed the region, reducing visibility, the MeT Department said.
Guler in Kangra district was wettest in the region receiving rains at 64 mm while, Kheri and Kufri received 56 mm and 53mm rains, followed by Shimla 48 mm, Ghamroor 43 mm, Amb 35 mm, Sarahan 34 mm, Aghar 33 mm, Sundernagar andTheog 30 mm, Nadaun 28 mm, Rampur and Baijnath 25 mm, Sarkaghat 23 mmand Sujanpur Tira, Mandi andDalhousie 20 mm.
The day temperatures remained steady and Una was hottest with maximum temperature at 35.8degrees while Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded a maximum temperature of 33.8 degrees and 33.3 degrees, followed by Dharamshala 28.4 degrees, Nahan 28.1 degrees, Solan28.0 degrees, Manali 24.6 degrees, Shimla 22.2 degrees and Kalpa19.4 degrees Celsius.
The MeT Department has forecast rains or thunderstorms at many places in lower, mid and higher hills in the state during the next six days from tomorrow.
