Helicopter hits high-voltage cable in China, several injured

A helicopter today crashed in east China after hitting a high-voltage cable, injuring several persons on board, official media here reported today.
The crash occurred in Liaocheng in Shandong Province this morning.
The chopper crashed after it hit and severed a high-voltage wire, causing a blackout to a local county which lasted for more than two hours.
Authorities have cordoned off the area but no information is available regarding the details of crash, the report said.
A large number of factories were forced to suspend production due to the blackout in the Dong'e County, it said.
