Heptulla advocates for skill development of youth

Pitching for skill development of youth, Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptulla today said various schemes are being undertaken by the government to impart training across the country.
"Our Government is committed to skilling the youth. Very recently, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched projects aimed to train over 40 crore people in India in different skills by 2022," said Heptulla at the memory development workshop here.
She said her ministry is providing scholarships for various courses including technical training and coaching for civil services examination.
We have a budget of over Rs 3,700 crore out of which Rs 2,000 crore is being earmarked for skill development and scholarship programme, she said.
She further said, "computers and internet facilities are being provided at Madarsa under Maulana Azad National Academy for Skills (MANAS) scheme for upgrading abilities and training."
Referring to the memory workshop, she said, "Memory is very vital and one of the most important assets of our life. It is the greatest power of our mind. It needs to be developed and improved upon.
