In its representation, the advocates have sought court's intervention in the renovation work of the "heritage structure" and direct Archaeological Survey of India and the Delhi government to probe the matter.
"The illegal construction/ renovation/ repair is in contravention of Article 49 of the Constitution (Protection of monuments and places and objects of national importance) and the Archaeological Sites and Remains Act," the representation said.

They, however, alleged that the construction work was started again despite the court's direction.
