Acting on a tip-off late last night, the police arrested Reshma Begum, who was allegedly involved in the supply of illicit drugs for a long time.
She had gone to Nagartilla locality in Silchar to hand over the heroin to another person.
The police also recovered Rs 46,000 in cash from her and she is being interrogated.
