Heroin worth Rs 10 crore seized near Amritsar

BSF personnel today recovered 2 kg of heroin estimated worth Rs 10 crore in international market from near the Mahwa Border Outpost of Amritsar Sector.
A magazine, three Pakistani SIM cards and two mobile phones were also found from the site, BSF Punjab Frontier DIG R S Katariya said.
The DIG said these items were seized in a special search operation early today near the Border Outpost.
During the current year, the BSF had been able to seize over 194.7 kg of smugged heroin so far, he added.
