At least 540 gm of heroin worth around Rs 24.30 lakh was seized from two different places here, Excise and Narcotics department officials said on Friday.
The officials said Police seized a large amount of heroin at Saron Veng locality this morning while another seizure was done on Thursday night.
Two persons, including a woman, were arrested and handed over to the Excise and Narcotics department along with the seized contraband worth around Rs 24.30 lakh, the officials said.
The accused persons were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and were produced before the special judge (ND and PS Act) on Friday. The judge remanded them to a judicial custody for 14 days.
