Heroin worth Rs 25 crores seized from Indo-Pak border

In yet another seizure along the Indo-Pakistan border in this sector, the troops belonging to 105 battalion of Border Security Force today seized 5 packets of contraband suspected to be heroin from an area close to Border out Post (BOP) Mohamdiwala.
R K Thapa, DIG Sector BSF Ferozepur said that following an intelligence input regarding a threat of smuggling attempt, the troops were on high alert.
DIG said that at 11 AM, a special search operation was carried out by the BSF troops during which five packets of contraband suspected to be heroin worth Rs 25 crores in the international market were recovered.
