Acting on a tip off, police stopped a vehicle coming towards Tarn Taran and recovered heroin, four pistols, 20 cartridges, a mobile with Pakistani sim card and cash worth Rs 36 lakh from Gurjit Singh, a resident of Rasulpur, said Ishwar Chander, IGP, Border Zone, Punjab.
However, a group of smugglers in another vehicle who were following the vehicle sped away after watching the police team, he said.
