Hester Biosciences Q1 net profit rises to Rs 4.66 cr

Animal healthcare company Hester Biosciences today reported 7 per cent increase in net profit of April-June quarter of current fiscal at Rs 4.66 crore as compared to Rs 4.34 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
The company's net sales increased 5 per cent at Rs 24.53 crore in the June quarter as against Rs 23.30 crore in the same quarter last year, a company statement said here.
For the financial year 2014-15, the company reported revenue of Rs 90.04 crore with a net profit of Rs 14.58 crore.
"The company has received the manufacturing licence for two additional poultry vaccines - Salmonella live vaccine and IBH inactivated vaccine. These two put together would contribute Rs 2 crore sales in this financial year," Hester Biosciences CEO and MD Rajiv Gandhi said.
Apart from poultry vaccines, the company has recently forayed into large animal vaccines, poultry health products and large animal health products.
