The system would be set up with the assistance of state run Keltron Company, Chennithala told reporters after a meeting with police officers here.
As part of the 'Nirbhaya Keralam' (a project to ensure security of women and children) five police stations exclusively manned by women police personnel would be startedsoon, he said.
The new all-women police stations would start functioning in Kollam, Alappuzha, Kozhikode, Thrissur and Malappuram.
"Investigations of crimes against women and children and administration of the police station would be carried out by women personnel", he said, adding "women police are more efficient in crime investigation".

Instructions have been given to DGP to monitor police personnel having nexus with criminals, he said.
