Security agencies from across the globe discussed ways to enhance synergy while negotiating hijack situations and other aviation emergencies as part of a global seminar that ended here today.
The two-day international aviation security seminar that included officials from central and state police forces and delegates from the US, Germany, France and Sri Lanka, was organised by the elite counter-terror force National Security Guard at its garrison here.
"The discussion primarily focused on increasing the synergy between various security agencies in order to reduce the time taken during crisis situations like plane hijack," NSG Group Commander Rakesh Sharma said.
Another official said a number of best practices were exchanged between the domestic and international agencies during the meeting.
The NSG is the federal counter-terror and counter-hijack force that was raised in 1984.
