Hijacked motor spare parts worth Rs 85 lakh recovered

Motor spare parts worth Rs 85 lakh hijacked from a container truck a week back was recovered today, police said.
The truck was proceeding from Chennai to Kancheepuram on May 4 with spare parts of a leading motor company when it was hijacked on a highway after its driver was assaulted.
Though the truck was recovered two days later, the spare parts were not on it.
Investigations led to the recovery of the goods from Chrompet area in Chennai, police said.
