Hilton opens second Bangalore property tomorrow

Hilton Worldwide and Hilton Hotels & Resorts today said it will open its second property, the Hilton Bangalore Residences, tomorrow.
The upscale, full-service hotel is located in the Embassy Golf Links Business Park. Hilton Worldwide forayed into Bangalore earlier this year with the launch of DoubleTree Suites.
"As our fourth Hilton brand hotel to open in the country, Hilton Bangalore Residences will deepen our presence in an important market in the country, which is among our key strategic regions," said Rob Palleschi, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
Owned by Umbel Properties and managed by Hilton Worldwide, the hotel features 247 studios and one and two bedroom suites that range from 495 to 1,335 sqft. PTI BEN GK

Vodafone launches M-Pesa service in Karnataka * Telecommunications service provider Vodafone today announced the launch of M-Pesa, a unique mobile money transfer and payment service in Karnataka, in association with ICICI Bank.

M-Pesa empowers the unbanked and under-banked sections of the population gain access to financial services via the mobile phone, the company said in a release.
Vodafone said this service will now be available across 137 tehsils, 30 districts through 2500 specially trained authorised agents including 600 Vodafone exclusive stores in Karnataka.
Highlighting the relevance of M-Pesa for the residents of Karnataka, Atanu Batabyal, Business Head - Karnataka, Vodafone India said "M-Pesa', is a safe, secure and convenient service to transfer money and make payments beyond the reach of traditional banking channels."

Infotech Enterprises to change name as Cyient Ltd * Infotech Enterprises Limited today announced that its board of directors has approved a resolution to change the company's name to Cyient Limited.
The resolution is now being proposed to the shareholders via a postal ballot for their approval and other regulatory clearances, a company statement said.
The approval process is expected to last 30 days.
"For more than 20 years, we have collaborated with our customers to provide innovative solutions for a better future," BVR Mohan Reddy, chairman and founder, shared with employees.
"With increasing global recognition of our services, we needed a unique identity that we can own and a brand promise we can live every day. The name Cyient has connotations to the words client and science, two important ingredients of our company's success.
The "ient" refers to Infotech Enterprises and reflects the company's heritage and continuity.
