The proceedings of the House remained stalled for about 40 minutes as Congress members, agitated by the remarks of the Chief Minister P.K.Dhumal during his reply to the marathon debate, interrupted him and raised slogans and trooped into the well.
The BJP members also raised counter-slogans and nothing was heard in the din.
Repeated appeals of the Speaker Tulsi Ram to Congress members to resume their seats had no effect and the proceedings remained interrupted for more than half an hour. (more)
