"The BJP government during past four and half years had implemented various schemes for the welfare programmes, benefitting all sections of the people. The government not only implemented the party manifesto which it adopted as policy document, but gave benefits to the people beyond it," he said in his opening remarks.
In recognition of its outstanding performance in different fields, the state was conferred 67 awards by reputed National and International institutions and agencies, including government of India, he said.
Dhumal said Rs 353 crore Pandit Deen Dayal Kisan Baagwan Samridhi Yojna and Rs 300 crore Doodh Ganga Yojna which entailed 25 to 80 percent subsidy, had been implemented for upliftment of farmers and livestock rearers.
The per capita income had also increased from Rs 43,900 during 2007-2008 to Rs 73,600 while the Gross Domestic Product has also increased from Rs 33000 crore to Rs 63000 crore, he added.
Dhumal said the BJP government had provided 50 per cent reservation to women in Panchayati Raj Institutions and urban local bodies to ensure their participation in formulation of schemes.
