Himachal High Court Chief Justice flags off Clean Shimla Drive

Himachal Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir today flagged off the "clean Shimla drive" with a clarion call to make children aware about importance of cleanliness and environment.
The rally, organised by HP State Legal Service Authority with the help of other government departments, started from historic Ridge Maidan.
Over 1,000 students from different government and private schools, colleges and ITIs from all over the state participated in the 'Clean Shimla Drive'.
During interaction with participants the Chief Justice said that since he also belongs to a hill state and has special attachment with Shimla city, he was under impression that Shimla would have been one of the cleanest city being a historic city which once remained capital of British India.
Talking about pending cases, the Chief Justice said that in 2013 there were 60,073 cases pending in the High Court which reduced to 32,981 as on September 30 this year.
