People in lower hills reeled under sultry heat as day temperatures increased by one to 3 degrees and Una was hottest during the day with maximum temperature at 31.6 deg.
Nahan, Dharamsala and Sundernagar recorded a high of 28.5 deg followed by Bhuntar 27.8 deg, Solan 27.5 deg, Shimla 25.5 deg (4 deg above normal) and Kalpa 24.4 deg C.
Kasol was wettest in the region with 21 mm rains while Arki recorded 17 mm rains, followed by Nurpur, Jogindernagar and Una 11 mm, Kheri 9 mm and Tissa 8 mm.
The local MeT office has predicted rains and thundershowers at few places in the state during the next five days.
