Himachal Pradesh reeling under cold wave

During the past 48 hours, the sky remained mainly cloudy dipping down further the day temperature, while night temperatures were recorded below zero to 9.9 degree Celsius.

The local Met department has forecast mainly dry weather over the coming four days.

The minimum temperature recorded at Keylong was the lowest in the state at -0.7 degree Celsius. Kalpa in Kinnaur recorded a low of 1.4 degrees while tourist resort Manali experienced a minimum temperature of 5.5 degree Celsius.

Icy-cold temperatures recorded elsewhere in the state showed the mercury at a low of 3 degrees in Bhuntar in Kullu, 4 degrees in Solan, 4.2 degrees in Sundernagar, 5.5 degrees in Mandi, 7.6 degrees in state capital Shimla and 7.0 and 8.8 degrees Celsius, respectively, in Palampur and Dharamsala.

Shimla recorded 15.9 degree Celsius maximum temperature, while Sundernagar had a high of 18.6 degrees. Bhunter recorded 19 degrees, while Kalpa had a high of 15.2 degrees and Dharamsala recorded 22.2 degree Celsius.

Maximum temperature in Una was 25.4 degree Celsius, while in Nahan it was 22.8 degrees and in Solan it was 21.5 degree Celsius.
