The local MeT department has predicted rains or snowfall in several places in lower, mid and higher hills of the stateduring thenext three days from tomorrow due to fresh western disturbances over the region.
Cold wave conditions persisted in tribal areas and higher hills even as precipitation occurred at isolated places but sky remained heavily overcast in mid and higher hills and chilly winds swept the region, the department said.
The maximum temperatures rose by two to three degrees but there was no significant change in minimum temperatures which stayed few degrees above normal in tribal areas and other higher reaches.
Unawas hottest during the day in the region with maximum temperature at 23.6degree, whileNahanand Solan recorded a high of 21.3 degree and20.5 degree, followed by Sundernagar 19.3degree, Bhuntar18.0 degree, Dharamshala 15.8 degree, Manali 11.6 degree and Kalpa 9.0 degree.
