Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today inaugurated the state's second 'all women police station' in Dharamsala.
The first 'all women police station' of Himachal Pradesh was set up in capital Shimla.
The all-women facility in Dharamsala has been opened near the main police station and adjacent to the official residence of the superintendent of police on the national highway, which shall be a easy approach for the needy women.
Singh said such police stations would provide easy access to women in registering complaints.
"The third such police station will be opened in Mandi town soon followed by a few more across the state," he added.
Shimla's 'all women police station' was opened on August 11 and it is headed by an officer of the rank of deputy superintendent of police (DSP).
