The hill state of Himachal Pradesh, formed by merger of thirty erstwhile princely states on April 15, 1948, will celebrate its 66th Foundation Day tomorrow.
Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh would preside over the state level function at Kullu tomorrow.
He was received by a local MLA on his arrival in Kullu yesterday and was accorded a rousing reception by his party workers and supporters.
"Himachal Pradesh has made amazing progress during the last 65 years in all the fields and is competing not only with hill states but also with big states of the country," Singh said.
He said that his government was ensuring all-round development of the state and Kullu district would also get priority.
Similar functions, to be presided over by ministers and Chief Parliamentary Secretaries would be held at district levels to mark the occasion.
