The board of directors in its meeting held today also approved raising term loan up to Rs 2,000 crore, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
The board approved "issuance of non-convertible debentures not exceeding Rs 1,500 crore" and "raising term loan up to Rs 2,000 crore", the filing said.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 69.95 apiece on the BSE, up 0.36 per cent from the previous close.
