Hindi based training modules; audio visual clips for SSB

Border guarding force Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has now increased Hindi based audio visual elements and case studies in training modules for its personnel to make them easy to understand.
The information was shared by force Director General Archana Ramasundaram on the occasion of a border out post (BOP) training module for its personnel which was inaugurated through video conferencing by Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju from here.
This training module is being conducted simultaneously at 270 company locations in which personnel of 625 BOPs are participating.
"The module has been designed to refresh the critical learning elements with an aim to increase overall effectiveness and professionalism of the force. To make the module easy to understand and comprehend, the contents have been prepared in Hindi and are more of audio-visual nature," Ramasundaram said.
The force has taken services of various agencies like the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), National Investigation Agency (NIA) and NGOs working in the SSB's operational areas of responsibility to make this module more fruitful and professionally enriching.
She also said that emphasis has been given on various aspects such as soft skills, stress management, gender sensitivity and health.

Several case studies have also been included in the training module, Ramasundaram said.
Speaking on the occasion, Rijiju said the task of SSB becomes the "more difficult" in case of porous borders with some neighbouring countries like Nepal and Bhutan, where there is no fencing.
He said he had himself visited BOPs and seen how SSB jawans work in hard conditions to protect the borders.
SSB has been mandated to guard the Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan borders. Nepal border touches five Indian states with a total length of 1,751 km, whereas Bhutan shares its boundary with four Indian states with a total length of 699 km.
