Hindu Rao to soon have Wi-Fi: NDMC

The Hindu Rao Hospital in north Delhi would soon be enabled with wireless network connectivity, NDMC officials said today.
The hospital which comes under the North Delhi Municipal Corporation, and also houses a medical college, will soon be Wi-Fi enabled, NDMC Commissioner Praveen Gupta said.
The municipal commissioner accompanied by IT professionals inspected the trial of the same at the hospital and said the results of the trial run are very "encouraging".
"The hospital structure is very old with very thick walls yet the system installed for trial purposes for enabling the Wi-Fi in the complex showed encouraging results," Gupta said in a statement released by the civic body.
The commissioner was briefed on the systems by the Additional Director (IT), Rohit Garg.
Gupta said that since the trial is successful, a proposal in proper shape with complete details would be put up before the competent authority ie, the NDMC, it said.

He said it would also be helpful for medical and para-medical staff besides the students of medical college.
The service would also ease the online procedures of the health services in the interest of the citizens, he added.
The commissioner said the results of the trial has encouraged us to implement this service in other major institutions of the corporation for speedy delivery of services and transparency of the systems.
