BPO major Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) has set up two new centres in Alabang, the Philippines, providing employment to about 800 people.
HGS, which had entered Philippines in 2003 with the acquisition of C-Cube, has 5,000 employees across six centres in the country.
"With an initial capacity of 550 seats, HGS expects the new centres to create about 800 jobs in Alabang by 2014-end," HGS said in a statement.
The Alabang centres will primarily provide customer care services to US-based clients in healthcare, financial services and banking, consumer electronics and telecom industries.
"The new centres in Alabang enhance our ability to support the increasingly sophisticated needs of our Fortune 500 clients. Going forward, HGS will continue to capitalise on the talent pool available in the region," HGS Chief Executive Officer Partha DeSarkar said.
