It will function from 15 class rooms of Brundaban Vidyapitha on a temporary basis.
"There will be classes from I to V with a section each. The admission process will be completed in 20 days," a circular issued by the Joint Commissioner (Personnel), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghathan (KVS) E Prabhakar said.
The other five KVs in Ganjam district are at Berhampur, Gopalpur, Bhanjanagar, Aska and Digapahandi.
The KV for Hinjili was sanctioned on March 4, 2014. The delay in transfer of land to the KVS according to the new guideline of the organisation hindered its functioning, offcials said.
The KVs at Aska, Bhanjanagar and Digapahandi started functioning in 2010 from temporary accommodations. The administration gave 8.015 acres at Magura Mouza near Aska for KV Aska while land for the other two KVs had been identified, Rout said. These would be finalised after the official team from KVS gave its nod, he added.
