A team of the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Awards (HIPA) will deliver lectures on photography in the India International Photo Video Trade Fair to be held at the Gujarat University Exhibition Centre in Ahmedabad from September 20-22.
HIPA's delegation has already left for India as part of a framework of annual promotional campaign, UAE's official news agency WAM reported yesterday, quoting organisers.
"The participation comes as part of an annual plan implemented by the executive management of the award to go on promotional tours to introduce HIPA to the world," Sahar Al Zarei, HIPA assistant secretary said.
Founded in 2011 under the patronage of H H Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, the award has a grand prize of USD 120,000 and an overall prize pool of USD 389,000.
India Photo-Video Trade Fair 2013 is being organised by the Gujarat Photographic Trade and Industry Association (GPTIA) to provide a platform for businessmen from across India to meet on common ground and generate business.
