Job portal Naukri.Com today said hiring activities rose significantly in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai.
Reflecting improved sentiments in the labour market, Naukri Job Speak Index climbed to 1,748 in January compared to 1,467 seen in January 2015.
"IT-software recorded an impressive 22 per cent y-o-y growth, BPO/ITES has grown by 26 per cent, auto/auto ancillary is up by 9 per cent followed by banking and telecom at 6 per cent and 5 per cent, respectively," Naukri.Com said in a release.
Naukri.Com's Chief Sales Officer V Suresh said the job market continues to sustain the momentum with a 19 per cent growth in January.
"As predicted earlier, apart from IT/ITES and banking, non-IT sectors like auto, auto ancillary and pharma are showing signs of revival. In my view, good times are ahead as all cities across the country have shown growth in January 2016," he noted.
