Hitachi bags order from ITC to set up elevators

Hitachi Lift India, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Hitachi has bagged an order for 23 units of elevators from ITC for its upcoming deluxe hotel project ITC Kohinoor in Hyderabad.
Out of 23, 8 units are 3.5m/sec high speed guest elevator, high speed elevator order, for Hitachi in southern India, Hitachi Elevator Asia Pte, the supervising company of Hitachi Lift India said in a statement.
The elevator will be equipped with advanced technology such as earthquake operation functionality, it said

* DishTV, Panasonic join hands to boost sales
To boost its sales during upcoming T20 cricket world cup, the direct-to-home operator DishTV has tied up with consumer electronic major Panasonic, a company statement said.
This association with Panasonic will allow customers above 19 inches to avail the new Dish HD plus connection at a special price, it said.

* Citrus to waive service fees for govt bodies for 18 months
Citrus Payment Solutions (Citrus Pay) will not charge for its payment gateway services from all government institutions for a period of 18 months.
Citrus Pay said it will start a special programme to waive any charges for its payment gateway platform, and only direct bank interchange fees will be applicable.
The move comes within days of the Union Cabinet's recommendation to government bodies and institutions to do away with surcharges and taxes for electronic payment transactions.

* Future Generali India Life Insurance life cover scheme
Future Generali India Life Insurance Company Limited (FGILI) today announced the launch of a simple and regular pay scheme New Saral Anand.
The plan provides an extended life cover. The policy holder not only gets the sum assured along with bonuses at the end of the policy term but also gets an extended cover till the age of 100 years, the company said in a statement.
This product will also provide a whole life cover with a simplified underwriting process, thereby making it convenient for the customer, it said.

Wipro Limited today announced that it has been recognised by the Ethisphere Institute, the global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, as world's most ethical company.
In 2016, 131 companies spanning 21 countries have made it to the 2016 World's Most Ethical Companies list, marking the tenth anniversary of the designation.

* Western Union, India Post launch signature location service
Money transferor Western Union today launched its first signature location with India Post at Jaipur GPO.
"The Western Union Company today inaugurated its first signature location with India Post at the Jaipur General Post Office (GPO) to commemorate 15 years of collaboration with India Post today," it said in a statement.
The signature location launched at Jaipur aims to support all remittance related transactions via Western Union services and will operate as a distinct office within the GPO.

Fitch, S&P assign BB rating to DHFL
Fitch rating today said it has assigned non-bank housing company Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL) Long-Term Foreign-Currency and Local-Currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDRs) of 'BB' rating.
"The outlook on both ratings is stable," the rating agency said in a statement.
* Videocon Telecom 2G data use grew by 43% in 2015
Mobile operator Videocon Telecom today said that it registered over three-fold jump in consumption of 2G mobile Internet on its network compared to industry growth rate of 12 per cent in 2015.
"Videocon Group reported an impressive 43% growth in mobile data consumption in year 2015. I am delighted with the results and the fact that we have been able to surpass the industry trends," Videocon Telecom Director and CEO Arvind Bali said in a statement.
As per the Nokia Mbit Index 2016, 2G mobile data consumption grew by 12 per cent in 2015 compared to a year ago period.

NITI Aayog, UN launch 'Women Transforming India' campaign
Government think-tank NITI Aayog today said it has launched "Women Transforming India' campaign on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8.
As a policy think tank, NITI Aayog seeks to engage directly with women leaders from across urban and rural areas of the country.
'Women Transforming India' is, therefore, our effort at putting our ear to the ground to gather successful stories of change heralded by women at the grassroots level, within communities, NITI Aayog said in a release.
