HMFI is a joint venture of Deutsche Messe of Germany and Fiera Milano Group of Italy, two of the largest industrial and engineering fair organisers.
"HMFI is bringing 'Plugged In' to Delhi in December. It is a platform that integrates consumer technology and mobility exhibition, conference and event and which is both business-to-business and business-to-consumers for end customers," HMFI Managing Director Mehul Lanvers-Shah told PTI.
"We started planning to bring such an event to India because of our lineage which we did worldwide," Shah said.
HMFI has partnered with industry associations to support Plugged In namely mobile companies body Indian Cellular Association, consumer electronic body CEAMA, telecom operators body COAI, IT hardware vendors body ADCTA among others.

"Here our intention is to go all way down stream. To go from the large trade consumers to you and me who are going to use 4G in the future or even 5G in the near future. I am interested to know how that will shape my personal life and also interestingly even the work space," ICA National President Pankaj Mohindroo said.
"Some of the key exhibitors till now at 'Plugged In' are BenQ, Sony Play station, Intel, Western Digital, Epson, sharp," Shah said.
HMFI organised first edition of 'Plugged In' in Bengaluru and has decided to organise second edition in Delhi.
