HMT to impart skill training to Army personnel

Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) Limited will impart skill development training to Army personnel at its tractor factory at Pinjore in Haryana to enhance post retirement employability for them.
The training programme for first batch of 15 Army personnel was formally inaugurated by HMT's Executive Director K P Mishra today.
During the eight-week programme, the army personnel will be trained in all aspects of tractor manufacturing, including foundry operations, component manufacturing, assembly, repair and maintenance, painting and inspection, an official release said here.
The skills will enable the participants to seek employment in tractor manufacturing units and their authorized tractor service centres or open their own repair workshops after retirement from army, it said.
The initiative has been launched in arrangement with Director Army Welfare Placement Node, Chandigarh for Junior Commissioned Officers and army personnel of other ranks working in various departments under Western Command in Chandimandir.
